Under the hood? A 3.3L V6 that runs on gas and spite. No turbo. No fancy hybrid nonsense. Just raw, reliable, slightly-angry engine vibes. It sounds like it’s been chain-smoking Marlboros and telling campfire stories about all the soft-roaders it left stuck in the mud.

With real 4WD and body-on-frame construction, this thing is basically a Tacoma in disguise. Lock it in, point it at the trail, and if it doesn't go through, it’ll go over. Try that in your CR-V.

The interior? Spartan but functional — think “tactical gear locker meets road trip headquarters.” Big knobs, big gauges, and a cargo area that laughs at the idea of staying clean. Back seats fold down flat for full gear-hauling, cooler-packing, dog-carrying mayhem. Roof rack’s already bolted on — throw a kayak, a tire, or your in-laws’ Christmas tree up there. It can take it.

Exterior? This rig looks like it’s been training for a Tough Mudder. Boxy, bold, and slightly pissed off even when parked. That rear hump over the cargo area? Iconic. That grille? Looks like it’s ready to bite the trail. This is the SUV that rolls up to the trailhead and makes the Wranglers nervous.
